About the Practice
A Practice Built on Considered Counsel
Themisra was founded in Bangkok with a clear purpose: to provide foreign nationals and businesses with legal counsel that is transparent, precise, and free of unnecessary complexity.

How Themisra Came to Be
Themisra was established in Bangkok's Ratchathewi district by a team of Thai-qualified legal practitioners who had observed, firsthand, how often the legal process left foreign clients feeling excluded from decisions that directly affected their lives and businesses. The founding team believed that this could be done differently.
From the outset, the practice was designed around three practice areas where the need for accurate, accessible guidance was clearest: immigration and work authorisation, intellectual property registration and protection, and civil dispute resolution. These are areas where the consequences of proceeding without proper legal support can be both costly and stressful.
Our mission is straightforward: to make the Thai legal process comprehensible and manageable for the people who engage us — and to be honest about what we can and cannot do.
Today, Themisra works with individual foreign nationals relocating to Thailand, international companies establishing local teams, creative businesses seeking to protect their work, and commercial parties seeking resolution of disputes without escalation to litigation. Each engagement is handled with the same care and attention to accuracy, regardless of scope.
The Team
The People Behind the Practice
Our team combines formal Thai legal qualification with years of hands-on experience advising international clients across all three practice areas.
Siriporn Keawmanee
Senior Counsel — Immigration
Siriporn has practised immigration law in Thailand for over fourteen years and holds a deep familiarity with the requirements of the Department of Employment and the Immigration Bureau. She advises both individual clients and corporate employers on work authorisation and visa compliance.
Pattarapong Montri
Senior Counsel — IP
Pattarapong specialises in Thai intellectual property law, with a particular focus on trademark and copyright matters. He has handled registration, renewal, and enforcement advisory for creative studios, technology companies, and consumer brands operating in the Thai market.
Natthida Wongkaew
Mediator — Dispute Resolution
Natthida is a certified civil mediator with extensive experience in commercial dispute facilitation. She brings a structured, impartial approach to each case, working to identify pathways that both parties can genuinely accept rather than simply tolerate.
Standards
How We Work
Professional standards are not a marketing consideration for us — they are the basis on which every client matter is handled.
Thai Bar Association Members
All legal practitioners at Themisra hold current membership and good standing with the Lawyers Council of Thailand, the statutory body governing legal practice in the country.
Client Confidentiality
All client communications, matter details, and documents are treated with strict professional confidentiality in accordance with Thai legal ethics standards.
Written Engagement Terms
Every engagement begins with written terms that define the scope, fee, and expected timeline. Nothing proceeds on the basis of verbal agreement alone.
Thorough Due Diligence
Before any application is filed or document submitted, we conduct a careful review to identify potential issues and address them at the preparation stage.
English-Language Throughout
We operate in English with our international clients and coordinate Thai-language documentation and government correspondence on their behalf.
Continued Professional Development
Our team stays current with regulatory changes across all three practice areas through ongoing professional development and direct engagement with relevant government departments.
Our Values
Precision. Clarity. Respect.
Themisra operates from three values that inform every client interaction. Precision means that we attend carefully to the details of Thai law and procedure — because small errors in legal matters often carry large consequences. Clarity means that we communicate what we are doing and why, in language that a non-specialist can follow. Respect means that we treat every client's situation as genuinely important, regardless of the size or complexity of the matter.
For international clients navigating the Thai legal system, these values translate into a practical commitment: we will not use jargon to obscure uncertainty, we will not overcommit on timelines, and we will not expand the scope of an engagement without discussion. The legal process can be demanding enough without adding unnecessary friction between client and counsel.
Located in central Bangkok, Themisra is accessible to clients across the city and able to accompany clients to relevant government offices — including the Immigration Bureau, the Department of Intellectual Property, and mediation centres — when that is helpful to the engagement.
